Last month the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and nonprofit Architecture for Humanity teamed up to launch, a new website that promises to help architects contribute to recovery and rebuilding efforts after a disaster strikes. Because natural disasters are often unpredictable and unavoidable, and the period after a storm, earthquake or other disaster hits is usually followed by confusion and disorganization, this new hub for information will better equip individuals in expediting recovery efforts in afflicted communities.
