Whanapoua Sled House by Crosson, Clarke, Carnachan ArchitectsNot only does the amazing Whanapoua Sled House close itself up against the elements when it's not in use, but it's actually built on sleds so that it can be moved around the New Zealand beach on which it rests. Crosson Clarke Carnachan Architects was tasked with creating the ultimate holiday home for a family of five, but because they wanted to build in a coastal erosion zone on the Coromandel peninsula, the building had to be moveable. It also had to be super efficient, so not an inch of space is wasted, mostly natural materials were used in the construction and it features a sustainable water-saving waste treatment system.1
