Atelier Vecteur’s Timber Pavilion for the Festival of Lively Architecture is Not as Simple as it Looks

<a href="http://www.ateliervecteur.com/Architecte/index.html">Atelier Vecteur</a> designed this deceptively simple pavilion for the <a href="http://favmontpellier.nerim.net/index_EN.html">Festival of Lively Architecture</a>. An annual event held in Montepellier, France, the festival is specifically designed to celebrate the new generation of architects and collectives. This timber cube acted as a welcoming center for visitors and a showcase of formal experimentation.

This pavilion might look like a simple cube, but it's a little more than that

Built out of a series of timber sticks, the pavilion is shaped like a cube but intersected with an "ovoid"
