Gallery: Awesome Fun-House Mirrored Pa...

At only 140 square meters, this is a minimalist structure

The Mirror House is a minimalist structure clad in heat-treated wood and shutters that promote natural ventilation. At night the shutters are closed. At both of the gabled ends of the 140 square meter pavilion and inside, behind the doors, are funhouse mirrors made of polished stainless steel that not only create exciting distorted images that keep kids occupied for hours, they also reflect the surrounding, tranquil park.

Whereas previously the graffiti-covered structure may have made the playground a foreboding place to spend time, this new project brings a whole new reflective dimension to the park – completely respecting the site in which it was placed. We’ve seen some cool pavilions before, but this flexible space for kindergarden kids is one of our new favorites.
