  • With all the talk about BPA, phthalates, and other hinky chemicals that could potentially leach into our food and drink, it’s no wonder that we’re turning a gimlet eye to anything that passes through our lips. (Even coated aluminum isn’t off the hook.) One material that has remained relatively unscathed, however, is glass — but its breakable nature makes it impractical as a portable receptacle. The Bamboo Bottle Company has one ingenious solution: Sheathe the glass in bamboo. The result is a reusable bottle that’s as chemically inert as it is beautiful. We’re in love.

We love the design! The use of the bamboo gives the bottle an exotic feel. It fits perfect with the idea of sustainability and luxury island living. This would be a great accessory on a site expedition to Isla Palenque. http://www.IslaPalenque.com

this bottle is a great solution to the abundance of plastic waste that is building up in our landfills. how are you supposed to run with it though? my friend told me about a new water bottle that uses a biodegradable liner inside so all you have to do is get rid of it each time you are done. the outside is made of a flexible plastic that is easy to hold, while the liner eliminates BPA and sloshing of water while you are carrying the bottle. check it out if you are interested.
