Ahh, what we wouldn't give right now to be sitting in this exquisitely tiny tree top perch overlooking some breezy green hills - instead of cooped up in our sweltering city apartments! Well for one New York family (with some very lucky children), the dream is a reality. They actually get to live in this amazing tree house near the Hudson River, which was designed just for them by specialists baumraum. The somewhat dangerous-looking dwelling is connected to the rocky cliffside by a superthin catwalk, and features a killer balcony/deck that is almost the same size as the miniature living space.

Called the Cliff Treehouse, the home is situated atop a pile of rocks - which doesn't sound like an ideal foundation!

But rest assured because baumraum knows a thing or two about extreme treehouses.

While the structure appears to "float" it's actually supported by two metal poles in the front and several cables connected to the tree itself.

It must be pretty awesome for friends and family to visit the treehouse (which is a remote extension of a main home) via the catwalk that connects it to the top of the cliff.

A second catwalk allows people to access the deck from inside the house.

The home itself has a ton of windows and a skylight, which we are sure flood the small interior with daylight.

Inside, the look is minimalist with wood-lined walls and a comfy-lookin' built-in bed.
