Gallery: Before and After: Brisbane Church Becomes Beautiful Pitched-Ro...

First a church, then a theater, and now stunning houses filled with light, the Bonney Avenue residence exemplifies the genius behind responsible renovation. After careful coordination with the local community, Willis Greenhalgh turned the aging building into not one but two beautiful houses. Listed on the heritage home register, it was crucial to maintain the building's character without creating an undue impact on Brisbane's cultural heritage.

Originally built in 1867, these incredible homes in Australia became slightly worn out and tired looking. Instead of demolishing them and wasting what valuable building materials were left, the designers gave them a carefully considered uplight that respects not only the cultural heritage, but also the surrounding environment.
