Gallery: Café Melba is a Rustic Eatery Shaded by Ancient Angsana Trees ...

Earth toned fabric interior furnishings further emphasize a natural feel to the restaurant, which is located on a verdant site

The rustic interior receives plenty of daylight, eliminating the need for artificial lighting during the day, but since the weather in Singapore can get uncomfortably sultry, it was also necessary to ensure that the interior stays cool. This is achieved by timber louvers that give the owners greater control over solar gain.

An industrial chic space with oiled timber floors, exposed trusses and earthy fabrics, the eatery is both warm and inviting. And best of all, the lush site provides patrons with a welcome escape from the din of urban living.
