Steinway Mandala” is a 48″ diameter wall sculpture created by Philadelphia-based artist Carol Cole using parts from a 1920 Steinway grand piano. Don’t worry, no pianos were harmed in the making of this piece – to the contrary, the piano was restored and these parts were returned to the owner. Fortunately, the owner was familiar with Cole’s work (which transforms common objects into uncommon art) and gave the pieces to her for repurposing into this sculpture.
