In Coach’s “Did You Know?” video, they say they owe a lot to the baseball glove – and it’s true. Before Coach made handbags, they were known for their handcrafted leather wallets and billfolds. In 1946, Miles Cahn joined the company and brought along his love for baseball gloves. He enjoyed how the leather softened as it wore and that inspired Coach’s now-famous glove tanned cowhide leather products.
