Diana Beltran Herrera has made it out of paper. Herrera's 'Mathematics For Reality' collection is a gorgeous flock of biodegradable birds made from layers of colorful paper. Expressive and impressive, Beltran Herrera's work recreates nature in extreme detail.
Born in Bogotá, Herrera has been developing her ‘Mathematics For Reality’ collection over the past two years. Blackbirds, hummingbirds, flamingoes, swans and toucans are all part of the artist’s unique paper creations. Only 24 years old, the Colombian industrial designer turned illustrator and artist creates beautiful birds sculptures that are both magical and simple. Herrera has composed scenes of bird and a flower, a bird carrying an eye and a bird chatting with a fish, using only paper.
