Community Centre Herstedlund ExteriorDenmark's Community Center Herstedlund boasts a refined modern facade that is every bit as dynamic as its interior. The project features a skate board ramp and a rock climbing wall that can be be used by the local community at any time of day, and the building's facade is composed of a combination of opaque and translucent panels that allow for plenty of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylighting">daylighting</a> throughout the year. Located in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albertslund">Alberstlund</a>, the center was designed by <a href="http://www.dortemandrup.dk/">Dorte Mandrop Arkitekter Architects</a>, who envisioned the project as a sort of contemporary tree at the edge of the glades.1
