Defense Distributed is a 3D-printing startup that wants to do just that, by sharing downloadable plans for 3D-printed plastic guns over the internet. The organization is playing up its commitment to Second Amendment rights, and it could present a major challenge to gun control advocates.

    This is excellent! It’s really amazing how fast the 3d printing world is progressing. Of course it’s not going to be as easy as “printing a gun” since the firing chamber still obviously has to be metal; but it’s yet another step forward in personal freedom and bringing safety directly to the people.
