Last week fashion trade show Designers & Agents
returned to New York City
. An international marketplace featuring clothing and accessories from more than 1,000 independent designers, this event was on every buyer's and fashionistas' e-calendar. But it was the D&A Green Room
(curated by our eco fashion website Ecouterre
!) that really got us up in green -- in green clothes that is! Never one to miss a chance to promote eco-friendly fashion, our Inhabitorial team was on-site bringing live coverage from the event. This year's Designers & Agents Green Room
was chockfull of serious design talent, and was -- we venture to say -- our favorite D&A yet. Check out our highlights from the event: our favorite drool-worthy garments for Fall 2010, pics of the designers showing off their work, and even our very own editors modeling their favorite garments from the show
Samantha Pleet, designer of her eponymous line of sustainably produced clothing, which is made locally in New York City.
Here, editor-in-chief Jill dons Samantha Pleet’s Plaid Kilt Romper – “I love how fun and cute this romper is – it’s half punk rock and half girly-girly. I’ve never been a huge fan of plaid but this jumper makes me see plaid in a whole new light.
Editor Yuka models Samantha Pleet’s stunning Pleeted Mini Dress cut from super lightweight Chinese mud silk.
Samantha Pleet’s Petaler Dress as worn by Jill. Cute and universally flattering, the tube-dress shape is really simple, but playful ruffles offer a little extra quirk and personality.
