Gallery: Casa Bubble: Prefab Inflatable Pod Buildings Pop Up at Dwell o...

Spend a protected night in nature inside your very own Casa Bubble House. The concept is the product of a partnership between two French designers, Frederic Richard and Pierre-Stephane Dumas. The sci-fi modules are pressurized from the inside making them akin to an adult jump house -- minus the bounce, and full of sophistication (including thermostat and lighting temperature controls). There are also a variety of different modules available using both transparent and semi-transparent fabric for those looking for a little privacy while out in the open.

The Casa Bubble houses are not meant to be permanent structures and are actually being marketed for temporary exhibitions, temporary eco-tourism structures, and special event occasions. Each module is made from a recycled/recyclable PVC material and leaves little impact behind on the land that they touch — just be certain that you are not crushing any endangered foliage, and that set-up does not require any major removing or clearing underfoot.

If you have a large enough space, you can set-up your own temporary bubble tree empire. The various modules can be added to indefinitely.
