Gallery: Modern Green Social Housing C...
Apartments are accessed via semi-private staircases and entrances to each apartment can easily be converted into office space, making the apartments adaptable over the long-term.
Located on a site in Bondy, a town east of Paris, the new social housing project is bordered by a gymnasium, school and suburban housing on avenue Henri Barbusse. The four-story building is shaped like a U, creating a protected interior courtyard and garden space for use by the residents. The roof of the building is reminiscent of traditional Parisian row houses with lofted ceilings. Daylighting and passive solar design plays a large role in each of the apartments and every room has access to natural light.
