Born in
Cuba but settled in Los Angeles,
Elsa Mora cuts simple sheets of paper to create magical, elaborate artworks. Mora developed her art while she was looking after her
autistic child. She soon realized the value of being extremely patient and consistent, and these qualities show in her incredibly detailed papercut works.
Elsa Mora is a multidisciplinary artist working in the fields of drawing, porcelain, painting, and papercut. An ex-art teacher, she makes wonderful creations armed with the patience gained through her teaching years. Dubbed ‘Forest in the Mind’, ‘The Wound’ and ‘Secret Anatomy of a Young Girl’, her emotional illustrations are made entirely from cut paper.
Mixing plant life and human bodies, this Cuban artist expresses her emotions and family tales through paper. Elsa Mora’s work is represented by Couturier Gallery in LA and Phyllis Kind Gallery in NYC.

Hi Elsa, I am wondering if I could purchase “Lost in the Forest.” Are you making prints of them or hand made reproductions? Please let me know, I would like to add it to my collection. Thank you, Michelle LaBrecque-Fisher email; hikchikfisher@gmail.com
