Eco Truly Park is a magical self-sustaining artistic community set right next to the sea just one hour away from Lima, Peru. Residents and volunteers from around the world travel to this retreat to experience living together in harmony with their surroundings. Located next to the seaside in the Peruvian district of Aucallama, the Eco Truly Park is a group of cute mud houses that offer a return to natural, healthy living inspired by Indian practices. The cone-shaped shelters are made from locally sourced materials like mud, bamboo, recycled glass bottles and wood, which makes them fade in with their surroundings. The houses are decorated with Indian motifs and are situated between enormous sand dunes and the deep blue Pacific sea.

Last year I visited Peru and it is truly a beautiful and unique country, Karikuy Tours Peru, the company from which I booked the Peru tour package had a project similar to this that they were trying to achieve. They told me that their profits went to this project that wanted to build self sustaining communities in the Andes. Very good concept, this is their website http://www.karikuy.org Ive been to similar communities in Cuba and the Southwest in the USA. If you could provide directions to this community it would be helpful for my next visit. Thanks!
