When it was time for this couple to remodel their little home in Seattle, the didn't want to make it bigger - they just wanted to make it smarter. So they hired Atelier Drome to come up with a smart, efficient plan to make better use of their 600 sq ft home. Built-in storage, multi-purpose rooms and furniture, and large windows make the home feel larger than it is. Remodeling is almost always a better option than brand new construction, so it's lovely to see how a small home can be turned into something fantastic and functional.

The Ravenna Remodel by Atelier Drome renovated a 1950s mid century modern home that was in desperate need of help, bringing it into the 21st century.

The project was originally a 2 bedroom, 1 bath home, but the couple wanted to improve the use of space and be able to use the 2nd bedroom as an office/bedroom.

The basic layout was kept intact, but the wall was removed between the 2nd bedroom and the living area to increase the feel of the space.

When guests come to stay, they can easily set up flexible screens to create a sense of privacy.

The large desk in the office space works double duty as an extra table for holidays and dinner parties.

In the bathroom, the shower's ceiling was dropped to make way for a large shelf space in the bedroom.
