Shaped like a serving of spaghetti, Allegory ‘s Flux Cocoon wraps around a pedestrian bridge at Lausanne’s city centre. It sits at the crossing between a vertical elevator and a horizontal pedestrian bridge, highlighting the path’s intersection. The low-energy installation shines light on people as they journey from one side to the other.
The temporary glowing installation was made by wrapping strings of flexible LED lights around a wooden and metal structure. It was specially designed to be volumetric and bright so that it’s easy to spot from various points of the multilayered topography of the city. Flux Cocoon will be on display until February the 1st, 2013, so if you are around make sure to go and check it out!
