Gallery: Forze Unveils Next-Gen Forze VI Hydrogen-Powered Race Car

Forze just unveiled its new Forze VI race car, which is a follow up to the world’s first hydrogen-powered race car. The Forze VI is the result of five years of development and it represents a significant increase in performance and size from the Forze V. The Forze VI is now the size of a regular street car and it packs six times more power than last year’s model.

The Forze team recently unveiled the Forze VI at a presentation at the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. Since last summer the team has worked hard on the new car, which is going to be built this spring before it hits the track against gas powered cars in the Caterham Cup. The team also plans to race on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, with the goal to get the fastest lap time for a hydrogen powered vehicle.

The Forze VI is powered a hydrogen fuel cell system and two electric motors. With a total 260 horsepower, the Forze VI will accelerate from 0-62 mph in under four seconds. Since the car is powered by a fuel cell system, the only emission is pure water. Instead of just letting the water produced by the fuel cell go to waste, the engineers actually use it to keep the brakes cool. The two electric motors also drive the rear wheels independently. The Forze team has also employed a special type of electric differential that has the ability to make the car a few seconds faster with every lap.

“With the car we can shock and revolutionize the race world” says Michel Haak, team manager of Forze.

    It is Really great work,
But now all the world is since in the electricity problem specially Asian Countries.
I request to the scientist test or the team of this revolution please introduce cheap and smaller unit of Hydrogen cell making device for small electric generators which can produce only 20 KWH Electricity power or our existing Natural Gas Generator’s Fuel replacement.
    A small HO 2 kit.
I hope the team will understand our Issue.
Looking forward for your kind positive reply.
    With Best Regards.
