LEAPFactory's New Refuge Gervasutti in Italy is an extraordinary solar-powered tubular mountain cabin that was installed on Mt. Blanc - by helicopters! This energy-efficient prefabricated pod was built out of high-quality materials that have zero impact on the sensitive environment in which it was placed. Since it is a temporary structure and fully recoverable, mountain climbers who brave the 9,300 foot summit can use it to take shelter from the elements while at the same time respecting nature in all its glory.

    Trying to find these type of construction for my farm but my area is prone to bush fires and council
    and fire brigade has lot of restrictions.

    Nice idea but I personally do not think this belongs in or enhances the natural beauty of the Alps. I live in Austria, have my permanent residents in the Carinthian alps and in no way would appreciate the beauty of the area being spoiled by such a constuction

    The interior space is 30 m2 (about 320 ft2)
