In the Hamburg district of Wilhelmsburg, local authorities are planning to <a href="http://inhabitat.com/massive-park-hill-post-war-slum-being-regenerated-into-a-colorful-and-bright-housing-complex/">convert</a> an enormous World War II-era bunker into <a href="http://inhabitat.com/worlds-largest-tidal-energy-farm-to-power-4000-french-homes-in-2012/">renewable energy power plant</a> that will supply power to 3,000 nearby households.1
