Siemens has chosen Henning Larsen Architects to give their Munich headquarters a sustainable upgrade. Of the twelve proposals submitted by design houses throughout Europe, the Copenhagen-based firm’s design was selected for its comprehensive approach to sustainable urban development. The upgraded headquarters slated to begin construction in the fall of 2012 will feature a host of Siemens eco-friendly technology, including energy efficient lighting and photovolatic panels, and will be smoothly integrated into the city’s historical district.
