Noon Solar built these bags using first rate materials with sustainability in mind – Founders Jane Palmer and Marianne Fairbanks wanted to make sure that the bags would be non-toxic to the environment so they are made from hand-dyed hemp and vegetable-tanned leathers. Even the solar panels and battery packs can be removed and recycled. We think it’s amazing that each bag not only provides ample space and pockets for holding just about anything, but also harness the power of the sun to keep your gadgets powered with plenty of juice. Leather’s not the worst thing they can use – I’d expect a of fabric bags have a lot of non-biodegradable plastics and PVC and the ilk… Though the other downside to leather is that it really drives up the price so its out of reach to a lot of people, especially non–fashion guy types.
I love these bags, I just wish they were non-leather — so much more eco-friendly.
