Iranian Artist Spells Out ‘Life is Beautiful’ With Kitchen Knives

Iranian artist Farhad Moshiri brought his sharp wit to work in his latest installation, which features the words ‘Life is Beautiful’ formed entirely from kitchen knives stabbed into the wall. Farhad’s work comments upon how common household items can serve as lethal weapons, lending a sarcastic undertone to the upbeat statement. We could speculate about the past or future use of the knives – perhaps they’re already recycled, or maybe they’ll be used once more to chop up some fruit in the kitchen. But regardless, it is certainly a thought-provoking piece of work.
