Jose Hurtado's extraordinary hubless twist bike might take some getting used to, but we absolutely love the idea that it can be easily connected to another to make a tandem. Designed to be reversible, the bike frame holds the wheel on two points, which keeps it secure, and the frame is crossed by the pedal system rotating inside for the bearings. The turning circle is the same as conventional bicycles, but that's about all that is predictable about this Spanish design!

    I don’t want to rain on anyones parade….but this bike is near unfeasible unless as a track bike.

    Given that road debirs would get caught in the mechanism where drive meets rim, this instantly becomes a problem.

    Worse still as a tandem any pedaling out of sync between the two riders will cause flexing forces and break the juncture point.

    Nice idea in a virtual world…otherwise nonsense.

    I love Green Habitat to bits, but i wish they would look at practical stuff that has actully been built.

    Granted it’s pretty looking
