If only plants could speak, it would be so much easier to take care of them. Thats why our faces lit up when we spotted this awesome Digital Pot by Junyi Heo. Designed to relay the needs of individual plants through an interactive display of simulated plant ‘facial expressions’, this idea just might make green thumbs out of the most challenged window gardeners. Trying to make plants speak might be a bit challenging, but with such a cute face on this design, we couldn’t resist learning more.

Pity it’s just fashionable. Useless & energy-intensive for what?
dope. pot.
Ahhh technology! What ever happened to looking at the plant? Are we so detached from nature that we can no longer tell when a plant needs water or light? If it is to hot or too cold? I still use the finger method for water – stick it in the dirt about a half inch to an inch – dry? add water, wet – check again in a few days.
Maybe when the pot can actually tap into the plants REAL feelings it will be pretty neat. \\\”HEy, Yeah you – can you move me over by the window, I need a tan.\\\” or how about \\\”I really would like a mate around here, my stamen keeps growing but no relief in sight!!\\\”
Anyway, I guess if you need something to waste some money on and to help keep your technophile title, this would do the trick.
well.. as someone who actually already HAS pot plants, and has actually gone outside and experienced sunlight once in their lives, the idea of a pot for my plants that can keep me updated if they’ve been in the sun or shade too long, or for example shade-only if I’m overwatering, actually sounds overWHELMINGLY useful.. the design of the thing is ragging Japanesily all over me though. it’s fxxking ugly but I suppose that’s why it looks so.. uh, what was the word? trendy? XD as for energy. if I can hook my lapop up to solar recharger…
[...] AND it’s USB, you guys! Too bad it’s still a concept design. I can’t WAIT for it to come out!! link [...]
