Gallery: King County Parks and HyBrid Architecture Unveil Upcycled Ship...


King County Parks just finished a new, comfortable and ecologically-sound camping structure that was created from a 24-foot-long used cargo container. The project, dubbed “Re-Tain” was developed by Joel Egan of HyBrid Arc, a Seattle-based design firm. The cargotecture retreat won King County Parks’ Little Footprint/Big Forest design contest in 2011, which called for sustainable designs for a camper using only a shipping container.
