    <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Lautner">John Lautner</a>’s architecture has become an iconic backdrop to the mid-century architecture movement in the City of Los Angeles. His homes have played starring roles in movies such as <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0160127/">Charlie’s Angeles</a>, <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066995/">Diamonds Are Forever</a>, <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118715/">The Big Lebowsk</a>i, and was more recently featured as Tony Stark’s residence in <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0371746/">Iron Man</a>. As an apprentice to infamous architect, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Lloyd_Wright">Frank Lloyd Wright</a>, Lautner’s architecture has laws promoted harmony between human habitation and the natural world. His designs are sympathetic and well integrated into their sites, and he made a distinct effort to design buildings and furnishing to be a part of a larger, unified whole that expands into the environment. The <a href="http://www.johnlautner.org/">John Lautner 100</a> series will seek to educate the public about the importance of preserving Lautner’s architecture, which has been lauded for its sustainable features and inspirational design.
