Building Trust International has named Levitt Bernstein as the winner of their open international HOME competition for his intriguing proposal to create pop-up housing in unused garages on London’s existing housing estates. The architecture firm intends the Pop-Up HAWSE (Homes through Apprenticeships With Skills for Employment) design to provide job-training while creating much-needed small temporary housing for the British capital’s homeless population.
