Luxury Residences On Phuket Island To Feature Modular Louvered Screens

    <a href="http://inhabitat.com/2009/05/08/residence-passive-solar-cascade-house/" target="_blank">Paul Raff</a>, designer of the <a href="http://paulraffstudio.com/projects/multi-unit/bluepoint_res/index.php" target="_blank">Blue Point Residences </a>on Phuket Island, <a href="http://paulraffstudio.com/PDF/Indigo%2001%202005.pdf" target="_blank">said in an interview</a> that he considers his role as an architect to "frame the experience of the natural landscape for the client." It is from this starting point that Raff and his studio designed the luxury residences overlooking Pattong Bay and the Andaman Sea. The residences are covered in modular and recycled material <a href="http://inhabitat.com/bamboo-screen-wrap-aids-protection-and-ventilation/" target="_blank">louvered screens</a> in order to reduce heat gain without sacrificing the beautiful views of the bay and beach below.
