How does one get the plans?

Unfortunately as the title states \”Michelle de la Vega Makes Tiny Living Accessible to Everyone\”, this home is not accessible for all as people with disabilities would not be able to take advantage of this layout. Also this not a new idea, Portland has been doing this for several years and another thing to point out is most of these conversions are not affordable to lower income citizens who would want to stay in some place like this.

Small doesn’t need to be small for the sake of being small. That fridge would be too small and nightmarish in day to day usage. I lived in 600 sq feet for 5 years. It was poorly laid out. It lacked a tub, a washer dryer, and closet space. It did have a decent kitchen, a urinal, a shower, a tiny bathroom sink that was too small to wash your face in, and bump-out bay windows. I would trade the bay window for closet space and skylights, and I would trade the urinal for a stacked washer/dryer… the shower was nice… that leaves the tub… an external hot-tub would do nicely, since the only reason I would use a tub would be to relax and not to clean myself.

The tranquility of a small, uncluttered space. It frees the mind to create and dream… living is lighter… greener.

Great Idea.. I have converted my garage also for the same reasons of paying of my mortgage easier. Most think I’m a little crazy but you have inspired me as there is so much more I could do with it. Thanks. Jen.

Good point about the zoning laws. That would be something to check in to. It’s neat though, for ONE person.
