Gallery: Gorgeous Flathead Lake Cabin is a Minimalist Home for the True...

The bathroom takes its water from Flathead Lake

Andersson Wise salvaged pieces of a variety of materials and put them together like new. Timber was sawn off site and re-designed for easy assembly to ensure that very little site disturbance occurred. Apart from a bathroom that takes its water from the nearby lake, and a small kitchen and bedroom, this cabin has few “extras” – promising a rustic camping experience rather than a luxury vacation.

The cabin does however have electricity, although given that the screened off porch and windows both open up the building to its leafy surroundings, loads of daylight is let into the space so that very little energy is needed.

With its minimalist furnishings and smooth finish, this cabin is bound to make any nature-lover feel right at home.
