Gallery: Nathan Sawaya’s Bedroom Made of Legos is Terribly Uncomfortabl...

If you enjoyed our story about this unbelieveable LEGO kitchen, you'll probably be pleased to find out that we just stumbled upon a bedroom made of LEGOs to match! One of NYC artist Nathan Sawaya's incredible LEGO artworks, the brickified bedroom features a mirror, dresser, night stand, bed, bedspread and even a cello - all made from our favorite childhood building block. There's no doubt that the space is a work of modern art, but we have to admit that it looks pretty darn uncomfortable - especially the jagged LEGO pillow!

Everything in the room, aside from the actual floor and walls, was made from LEGOs right down to the cello (which can actually be played). The drawers may look simplistic, but get this – they actually open and close! Sawaya builds his blocky creations in his NYC studio, which is currently filled with nearly 1.5 million LEGOs. Instead of using new materials, most of the bricks he uses are reclaimed from kids who have outgrown them.

If you’d like to check out Sawaya’s brick art with your own two eyes, check out “The Art of the Brick,” an exhibition of his works that is currently touring the US. According to Sawaya, approximately one million LEGOs were used to craft the works in the show.
