Walking around this year’s Dutch Design Week, we almost missed these cute paper vessels made from recycled receipts by Noor Nuyten. Each paper cup is made from a used receipt roll that has been coated with water-based glue. Nuyten’s “Desk Role” line is perfect for holding small items that otherwise might get lost – such as paper clips, pins, rubbers bands and coins.
Noor Nuyten is an artist living and working in Brussels who shows at Upstream Gallery and the Hisk Art Institute in Ghent. Her Desk Role vases turn everyday waste materials into functional art pieces. It’s a fantastic DIY design that is easy, cheap and eco-friendly.
