• Storm Tree Coffee Table by Mark Jupiter
Mark Jupiter is a fourth generation New York builder, so you can imagine that he has a lot of stories to tell. But instead of writing in a journal, Jupiter shares his tales through each of his reclaimed furniture pieces, which he'll be showcasing this May at BKLYN Designs 2013. Jupiter uses recycled materials that are just as rich in history as they are in grain - whether they come from ancient Buddhist temples or water towers on New York's Upper West Side.
1
• Acrylic Leonard Dining Table by Mark Jupiter
Made with eastern white pine reclaimed from an 1820's townhouse, the Acrlyic Leonard Dining Table has a salvaged hand frosted acrylic trestle
2
• Brooklyn Kitchen Island by Mark Jupiter
This black walnut table was constructed from a fallen tree; legs are made with half inch hot rolled plate steel finished with a rust patina
3
• Buddhist Temple Coffee Table
The wood for this amazing coffee table was harvested from an ancient Buddhist temple in China (beat that, IKEA!)
4
• Mark Jupiter Showroom
This is Mark's showroom filled with all kinds of reclaimed goodness
5
• Media console by Mark Jupiter
This custom media console is made with redwood harvested from a disused NYC water tower
6
• Charred Bench by Mark Jupiter
Mark Jupiter's Charred Bench brings out the richness of even burnt wood.
7
• Upper West Side Coffee Table by Mark Jupiter
Made from the same water tower redwood, we love the hand frosted acrylic legs on this beauty
8
