Mayor Bloomberg just announced the winner of the adAPT NYC competition, which called for proposals to develop innovative micro-apartment housing models that could be replicated in other locations and contexts within the city. The winner of the competition is a team composed of Monadnock Development LLC, Actors Fund HDC and nARCHITECTS, with their “My Micro NY” proposal. The team will develop a tower of 55 prefabricated micro-units in a pilot project on a city-owned site at 335 E. 27th Street in Kips Bay. Learn more about the fantastic winning design after the jump!
