Sustainable homes have been popping up in many Brooklyn nabes and now a new eco-condo complex called Bright N’ Green is putting Brighton Beach on the sustainable property map too. The 15,000 square foot, NYC Green Property-certified building by Scarano Architect PLLC will house six units complete with solar panels and wind turbines on the roof as well as a greywater system and insulated panels to boost energy-efficiency.
Combining green technology with modern, industrial design, the new Bright N’ Green condos will occupy 67 Brighton 1st Lane in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. The six condos, brokered by Douglas Elliman LLC and designed by architect Robert Scarano, have been constructed from eco-friendly materials on land cleaned of all previous contaminants. The site will take advantage of reverse osmosis water systems and air filtration to clean any incoming pollution while also generating renewable energy from its turbines and solar panels located on the roof. Units are limited, and details on pricing and additional amenities will be made available later this year.
