If you're looking for some gourd-filled fun leading up to Halloween, don't miss your chance to visit the Haunted Pumpkin Garden at the New York Botanical Garden. This thrilling and chilling display of pumpkin bugs, bats, and more invites fright-seekers of all ages to explore its orange delights through October 31st. Take our photo tour of last year's garden to whet your appetite for pumpkins and read on to see what squash-tacular events will be taking place there over the next few weeks.
We were on the scene last year as Food Network star and master carver Ray Villafane went to work whittling giant pumpkins into zombies, but don’t worry if you missed this spectacle because he’ll be back on October 18th and 19th carving up a new batch of frightening pumpkin creatures.
After you get your fill of Mr. Villafane’s insane pumpkin creations, take an adventure through the Everett Children’s Garden, which has been transformed into an outdoor haunted house of horrors. Okay, maybe cute pumpkin spiders and a pumpkin playhouse aren’t exactly the most horrific things in the world, but you get the idea.
The Haunted Pumpkin Garden will be open until October 31, 2014.
