School of Visual Arts Offering Co-Working Desks to Work from This Summer

  • Summer Co-Working Space-SVA
    If you're in need of temporary NYC office space for the summer, look no further than The <a href="http://productsofdesign.sva.edu/" target="_blank">School of Visual Arts</a>! SVA is offering up <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/co-working" target="_blank">co-working space</a> in their Products of Design studio in Chelsea, which is conveniently located near several subway stops. Intended for designers, architects, consultants and freelancers, the <a href="http://productsofdesign.sva.edu/summerdesks/" target="_blank">SVA Co-Working space</a> is a light-filled, architect-designed office with all the amenities you need to accomplish some real work during the warmer months.

    For the second year in a row, the SVA is offering up space through its MFA in Products of Design for summer desk rentals. <a href="http://productsofdesign.sva.edu/summerdesks/" target="_blank">Summer Desks</a>, is a co-working space lasting from the end of may through the end of August.

    The space was originally designed by <a href="http://andarchitects.com/" target="_blank">ANDarchitects</a> and is a light-filled loft-style room with windows on the north and south.

    The co-working space also includes a community kitchen, printer, scanner, reservable meeting rooms, phone booth, bike parking and high speed internet.

    A lobby with security desk and 24-hr hour key card access let you get in whenever you want, but also provide a level of respectability if you're bringing clients in for meetings.

    A number of desks with lockable storage are available for rent.

    SVA's Summer Desk program is located in the heart of Chelsea on 21st Street between 6th and 7th Avenues, close to several subway stops (1/2/3, A/C/E, F/M, plus the L, N/Q/R, &amp; 4/5/6 at Union Square) in Manhattan.

    You'll be close to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods for easy access to quick and healthy foods for all your meals.

    Desks are rented from Monday, May 27th and going through Friday, August 23rd for $350 a month. To apply, visit <a href="http://productsofdesign.sva.edu/summerdesks/" target="_blank">SVA's site and fill out their form</a>.
