While the New York City Parks Department just recently approved the petition for a skating area, Action Sports Development wasted no time getting all the right details for a perfect design. The company sent out questionnaires and held meetings with community skaters, kids, families, and park-goers to collect the best ideas and crucial needs to make the skate park a neighborhood star. Borough President James Molinaro praises the new recreational area as being perfect for turning half of the passive park into an active, family fun area, and a great way for local kids to stay out of trouble. No construction firm has been chosen to lead the project yet, but we can’t wait to see what happens next!

Just curious where the other two skateparks on Staten Island are. They closed the Ben Soto park a couple of years ago.
