Shipping Pallet Counter

Ah, the humble shipping pallet - is there nothing it can't do? The only thing we don't like about it is the amount of work that sometimes must be performed to transform it into something else but that's not the case with this elegant solution seen at Remodelista. The owners of the Olabisi wine tasting room needed more storage, so they created this functional counter/shelf/island by stacking some shipping pallets and inserting baking sheets into each one. The same idea could be applied to make a coffee table or even a bench.

I have always loved the concept of such a storage bench which I find clever in being able to conceal all of the items inside its ample amount of space while providing its main objective which is to act as a seat. Hence, you can place the bench in the living room for guests to sit on without noticing the mess that you might have created inside of it.

I really love shipping pallets as I think there are many ways to upcycle them into something useful like for storage purposes. However, the maximum amount of creativity I have had was to transform a couple of pallets into a coffee table with room underneath it to store magazines and newspapers. I would definitely love to try transforming a group of them together into a counter top with what seems like a whole lot of storage space!

All these storage ideas look amazing! I am personally in love with the shipping pallet desk which not only creates additional storage space but also helps to reduce wastage. Furthermore, there isn’t a need to fork out extra money because you can easily find a pallet from the rubbish center.

Some of these storage ideas are really quite wonderful, but I would caution against having everything built in. You might have a lot of issues trying to get your storage solutions moved to a new house if you ever go through removals in the future.

Why is it necessary to have a headline PORN, on your site. I find it offensive. You have some good ideas, but that is offensive. No, I am not a religious right person, but if you are wanting all kinds of people to pay attention, that was not one of them!!!!!!!!!!!!

That storage bench is a great idea. Want to do something similar in my apartment. I want it to be like a small bench with storage for my son's toys, and giving him a good place to sit and look out the window. (Window has child safety gate and locks)
