Designed by <a href="http://inhabitat.com/tag/gluck" target="_blank">GLUCK+</a> and located in the borough's Inwood neighborhood, the seven-story steel and concrete building offers 28 units ranging from one to three bedrooms. In addition to its efficient modular construction, the Stack offers added environmentally friendly and energy-saving features such as high-performance aluminum windows and WaterSense fixtures.1
The Stack - ExteriorDeveloped by Jeffrey Brown and Kimberly Frank, this innovative building's 56 separate modules were first fabricated offsite in Pennsylvania by DeLuxe Building Systems before they were packed up and shipped off to Manhattan.2
kitchenThe straightforward and efficient building process then consisted of stacking the modules together, connecting the approximately 38,000 square foot building to mechanical systems, and finishing off the interior design and exterior facade.3
