We're big admirers of Philadelphia-based Postgreen Homes, a firm dedicated to building energy-efficient, affordable and smartly designed homes. The firm's latest project is Avant Garage, a development of four townhouses in Fishtown Proper right behind Palmer Park. These LEED-Platinum-designed three-bed, two-bath houses feature a garage, a backyard and even a green roof garden. The homes are also Energy Star rated and are expected to have utility costs of less than $1,000 a year. Three of the four townhouses have already sold, and one more is left for sale for $365,000, which you can customize yourself with lots of eco-friendly finishes.

    “the garage can be used to store your collection of bicycles, used as a studio, act as a roller skating rink or maybe even a man cave”

    Why settle for just one use? The garage is big enough that I use mine to store my bicycles and scooters, use it as a studio, AND as a man cave!
