Gallery: Orphiro’s Electric Moto...

We all love the idea of an electric motorcycle — it’s efficient, quiet and an all around a great option for sustainable mobility. That being said, we have to admit to wondering when they would eventually become cool. Thankfully the Dutch outfit, Orphiro, has come up with an answer to that call. Taking inspiration from classic bobber styling, this bike has been dubbed a wide-body cruiser — a format that works perfectly for an electric motorcycle that needs ample room to place its battery packs.

The Orphiro has lithium ion batteries with a motor that pushes a total of 72 volts. The bike’s top speed of 75mph makes it suitable for most roads, and its range of 60 miles works well for both short commutes or slightly longer cruising sessions.

The bike is scheduled to launch in September of this year.

That bike is hideous. There is nothing classic or cool about its appearance. And, put a helmet on that boy, and a proper jacket. Safety first!

beautiful. Hopefully it’ll be available nearby soon.
