This year at BKLYN Designs Inhabitat favorite Palo Samko unveiled this beautifully detailed table made from salvaged wood. Samko utilizes parts of wood that others may consider flawed — rather than working around the natural splitting and knots in the wood he showcases them, using beautiful butterfly joinery for extra support. Stay tuned for more information and updates from BKLYN Designs 2010!

What a beautiful table. Where did Palo salvage this wood from? Absolutely fantastic design.
he didnt “salvage” it. it’s made of claro walnut…the most expensive wood in america. let’s not pretend this was rescued lumber. any woodworker would love to get his hands on such fine wood.
