Paradise Lost But Found Again at Abandoned Taiwanese Factory Turned Greenery Filled Oasis

Paradise was lost for the Shihlin paper factory in Taipei City, but <a href="http://www.interbreedingfield.com/work/b2010_1.html">Interbreeding Field</a> found it again by creating this verdant oasis amongst its ruins. Unlike many restorations, the Paradise Lost in Time project embraces the destroyed concrete and <a href="http://inhabitat.com/amazing-brick-machine-rolls-out-roads-like-carpet/">brick buildings</a> just as they are, creating pockets of "atmosphere." By leaving the roof incomplete, rain and other elements are able to enter the building's interior, where nature has reclaimed its rightful green place.

This reclaimed space defies categorization. While guerilla-ish, with its crumbling, overgrown ruins, it is also quite chic.
