Perhacs Studio Unveils Brilliant Flat Pack Pendant Lamps During NY Design Week

Pacific Northwest-based <a href="http://www.perhacs-studio.com/">Perhacs Studio</a> just unveiled a striking series of flat pack cardboard pendant lamps at the <a href="http://inhabitat.com/the-best-green-designs-from-model-citizens-2011/">Model Citizens exhibition</a> during <a href="http://inhabitat.com/new-york-design-week/">New York Design Week</a>. The modular lamps are assembled from laser-cut cardboard shapes that come in a variety of forms ranging from simple soft geometries to complex branch-like designs. <a href="http://www.perhacs-studio.com/">Perhacs Studio</a>'s new pendant lamp prototypes can be mixed and matched with each other to create a remarkable array of shades.

The exterior of each lamp maintains a cardboard aesthetic, while the inside has a bright orange coating that pops out when the light is on.

The lamps have an open structure that can easily accept a LED or CFL bulb.

Perhacs Studio's branch-like designs create an interesting shadow play.
