Gallery: Peter Marigold’s Geomet...

We’re truly digging all the eco designs coming out of Peter Marigold’s UK studio. One sustainable set that really caught our eye is Gold’s series of seven bird houses made from salvaged shop signs and crate material. Each birdhouse is constructed by fusing an array of unmeasured, angular pieces into an irregular, colorful form. By using waste materials, the designer turns independently illogical and haphazard pieces into a succinct design with a definite rhythm. The houses were originally made for the charity auction ‘The Birds, The Bats & The Bees’ held at Phillips de Pury & Company in 2008.
